Ceramics

The studio specializes in restoring ceramic objects and works to the highest standards of perfection using conservation-grade materials and equipment. Three types of restoration (structural, decorative, and authentic Japanese Kintsugi) are practiced in the studio. Each restoration will be approached individually; from removing an aged or poor previous repair to dismantling, reassembling, and aligning fragments and filling of missing areas. The studio offers conservation which includes stabilizing objects to prevent further deterioration, replacing missing parts, and retouching to create a hidden repair or visible with real gold.

Glass

When restoring any type of glass or crystal there are limitations. In most cases, the restoration cannot be disguised, and all cracks and fills will be obvious. Losses or chips can be filled with clear casting resin. Damaged glasses can be restored with the Kintsugi technique.
